yello!

you ever notice that everybody has a distinct way of answering the phone at work?  for the longest time i went with "hello, this is nick?," but i got sick of it.  i wanted to change it up a little.  lately i've been talking to this guy on the phone a lot lately, and he's one of those guys wo just screams his last name when he answers the phone, it's awesome.  it totally fits his personality though, i don't think i can pull it off.  there's always the people who just say "hello," but that like saying "maybe you have the right extension, maybe you don't."  i've been trying out a simple "nick larkin."  i'm working into it, but right now it feels like an uncomforable shoe.  maybe i'll try out a "s'up?" next?  that's professional, right?
